I am sitting here waiting for a phone call. A man called from Michigan this morning and he wants me to measure a part for him. Don't know why, could be anything from he doesn't know which disk he owns to he doesn't realize my parts are really John Deere. I get all kinds. Anyway, happy Monday!

I see today is the anniversary of the London bombings. I watched a movie about them called "London River" most enlightening except I didn't realize it was a French film. They had subtitles, but you have to see the subtitles and I was ironing, so there was a lot of rewinding. Some of it was in English, so that's what confused me.

Just come in from pulling up tons and tons of ivy growing around the fish pond (an old black bath with gold taps ...lol!) and growing up the side of the house.
We have so many weeds it's unbelievable.

This garden is far too big for us to manage, John has gout in his hand, so he can't do much at all, it's a very, very painful thing to have (as some of you guys know).

Well, I'm filling up my glass now so cheers!

Trish, good for you for doing what needs to be done, my Dad is good that way, takes excellent care of his outdoors. I'm far too lazy meself, plus I guess I like the look of wildness to some extent, (neighbors had to report me to get the lawn mowed, LOL). I dream of one day living on a large piece of land in a small house way out in the country, with no neighbors nearby, and lots of animals, that way I can keep my place the way I like it and enjoy the company of pets.

Speaking of pets, we saw the prettiest dog at the pet store the other day, looked a lot like Winston in the face, only much smaller body-wise. The lady said the dog was a bulldog mix and she was fixed. Winston wanted me to bring her home for him, but as I can only have one pet here (lease restriction) it was a moot point. Still felt badly though, as I think maybe a companion would encourage my big guy to exercise a little more, plus I just love dogs and could never have too many, cats, too, (OK, I'm odd, but that's just me, the crazy old dog and cat lady).

Wyo, good luck with the guy from Michigan and Tony, thanks for the drinks, am going to have a few to celebrate, not sure what I'm celebrating, but I'm sure it's 5 o clock somewhere.
