Good evening all .... did you notice I didn't limp in?
I think my gammy leg is mending.
It's not half as sore as it was, still red and weeping a bit, but the surrounding skin is trying to knit together, so I'm well pleased!
I'm now feeling more like myself and up for mischief!
Got everything ready for my trick or treaters tomorrow - I don't know who is more excited - the kids or me!
I heard on the radio today that some folk are wrapping Brussels sprouts in Ferroro Rocher wrappings and coating onions with toffee to trick the kids. How mean is that?

I remember them all so well, and I spent all my dinner money that my mum gave me feeding a juke-box just to listen to the likes of Good Timin' - I think I can recall Emile Ford " whaddya want to make those eyes at me for", and Oh Carol - Sedaka ... and the Everly's and so much more I could go on forever!
Top class stuff Mel, love 'em.
BTW - have you heard anything at all as to where Mumford has gone? They disappeared after Glastonbury and haven't been heard of since, as far as I know. Such a pity, I just loved them to bits.

Yay, Trish! Glad you're feeling better. Must be all the good choons and libations that did it, (well, and our sexy kilt lads don't hurt any).

That's just plain nasty about the Brussels sprouts, hope it's a rumor and not fact, can't imagine anyone being that mean; IMHO if anyone doesn't want to do trick or treat all they have to do is put up a sign or shut the lights off, which is what they do over here, no harm, no foul, (well, not most of the time anyhow).

Getting prepared for trick or treaters is always a good idea. Have mine ready as well, got a whole boatload of Whoppers malted milk candy and split it up into baggies, most kids like them (I think) but I don't at all, so I won't be tempted to nibble. My Mom loves Whoppers, too, so I told her if there aren't any trick or treaters she gets the lot. Win win either way.

Afternoon folks, hope you are all well. Glad to hear that your leg is on the mend Trish. It seems that Mumford & Sons are currently working on a new album after having a lengthy break. Various members of the band have been doing session work with other singers & bands, some working on a project recording some Bob Dylan tracks . I've not heard anything, though being a big Dylan fan and not a huge fan of Mumfords (loved first album, not the next) i'm a bit reluctant to listen. Just had a listen and they are ok. Though still prefer Dylan.

Afternoon/evening everyone! We found a new place to hang out today, next door to the pet store is a Christmas store, they allow well behaved pets on leashes, so of course we had to check it out. I couldn't believe the prices, everything was so inexpensive and nice, too; we got some lovely holly scented hand soap for only $1. Too bad they didn't have any skater ornaments (I get one for my sis every year) but the cashier said they'll be getting more ornaments as we get closer to Xmas, so I'll keep my eyes open. To paraphrase a certain muscle bound dingbat: "we'll be back"...

Wow, I've actually had a fair number of trick or treaters tonight, a first for me since I moved to NC. Hope I don't run out of Whoppers, fortunately I got a few boxes of Mike & Ike when I was at the Christmas store today, so they'll be added to the mix if the Whoppers run out.
