Its good night from me and good night from him
Its good night from me and good night from him
Final day of my 7 in 7 challenge. This has been really hard for me to choose just seven. So many to pick from. I have left out, Jackie Leven, Tom Russell, Lucy Ward, Martin Simpson, and many other folkies. Also Bob Dylan, Donovan, James Taylor from my youth. Finally decided I Had to choose TWO for my last song. So here we go. First from the greatest rock 'n' roll band in the world And the second from another band that were not too bad either !!
It's 1971 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uU_5eXt7Bb0
Second up

How great would it have been to see both these bands on the same tour ?
Thanks for the choons Mel, you've made great selections all week, downside is I look at the release dates of the records and say "How long ago!!!"
Thanks for turning back the clock giving me some great memories of my younger days
My very first LP vinyl record (sent to me by relatives in Canada in 1957) had this one on it...

That was it! hooked on music ever since, can you imagine a 7 year old Pos boppin' to that? LOL
Old, great to hear you musical rendition on the dobro, well done!
Trish good to see that you survived another 'exercise' class!!
Looking after grandchildren should be officially named Childrobics
I had a visit from Mia and her dad yeaterday, I was worn out after an hour just watching her!
I have just ordered a cross-trainer to help me get fitter for child minding.
Would have liked a happy trainer but nobody makes them.
Healthy breakfast anyone?
Have a great day
Graham
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain.
Super choons from everyone, loved the Stones and still do.
Love rock n' roll too - ole JR was bass player in a band called Johnny and the Falcons, way back in the 80's.
We used to get a huge following of teddy boys and girls who loved this kind of music from 50's and 60's.
The blokes all used to turn up in drapes and beetlecrushers, the ladies in net petticoats, with bobby socks and pumps. Awesome!
OKAY - I'll be first then Happy Christmas/New Year's to all
I'll be having a couple of these - hic

Morning all, glad you liked my tunes. I will carry on putting up some more. First though have to say I loved the Christmas tunes fro Old, especially the Snake Oil Band & the Aussie Christmas. Graham, how could any self respecting kid not have liked Bill Haley, i'm sure if I had been given that record I would have been the same.
Among my first records I was given by an older cousin was this Christmas hit from Adam Faith it is still one of my favourite Christmas hits, but it very rarely ghets played on the radio these days.
Keeping in the Christmas spirit here are couple more.
KT Tunstall - Mele Kalikimaka (Christmas in Hawaii)
K.T.Tunstall - Lonely This Christmas
Just loving all these choons guys!
Old, I will join you in partaking of a few shots of the Jagermeister and Merry Christmas to you too sir! Cheers!
Books, I remember that Adam Faith choon very well - I had it as a single when I was about 12 or 13!!!
Pos, good luck in your search for that 'happy trainer' lol!!!
Jagerbombs are gorge!
Anyone heard the Courteener's Christmas song?
