    Hello

Do you remember that one of my sons was having problems with his partner?
Well, they got themselves sorted out and on Friday they got the keys to a new house (actually old, but a new place for them).
They were so pleased, but, then a tragedy, his partner's mum had passed away Friday night, they got the call on Saturday morning, instead of setting up their home they had to drive over to Yorkshire to be with her dad.
Her mum had died in her sleep peacefully, reason unknown as yet.
So sad that little Mikey has lost a Grandma.
Not going to be much of a Christmas for them now.
    Graham

Oh Graham how awful for them. From the highs of a new home to the depths of bereavement and just before Christmas too. I feel so sorry for everyone concerned. The only relief is that Mum passed away peacefully. You must be feeling it very badly for them, and probably helpless as well. Saying I'm really sorry to hear this news doesn't cover it does it? But I am, truly. xx

Thank you Cheaver, yes, it's a sad time for them.
The loss of your mum is devastating, particularly at this time of year.
She was in her early 50s and a live-in warden at a retirement home, no doubt the residents will be upset too.

Oh dear, she was so young. Such a shock and yes, the time of year couldn't be worse.
I lost my own suddenly at only 63 yrs of age. It was mid-summer but still made for a very difficult, upset 1st Christmas. No time is a good time to lose a parent but at such a young age it is just so unbelievably tragic. My heart goes out to them. Poor residents too - it will be a big impact on them.

I think cheavs has said everything that I would like to say, so (with permission from Ms Penguin) I will echo her sentiments.

So sorry to hear your son's sad news, Graham. There is nothing one can say at times like these.

    I feel sorry for Dachshunds
Strangely, I do see how by stringing a few coloured lights around, you'd get an instant Christmas picture.

BTW - that's the first time I've ever heard a tractor described as being sexy!
We have an equivalent - it's called a UTE
