I need to start my doll restoring again as i have a room full of them to do and havent been able to do much since I got ill but will try to start doing them slowly one at a time, I also want to start sewing again when the weather warms up as at the moment my hands are that cold I can hardly move them. But I can but try.

I used to knit, then I bought a knitting machine and stopped hand knitting. Then my children went to school and I went back to work so I didn't have time. Now they are at work themselves and I found a book on knitting at a Cats Protection sale and knitted this dishcloth

    Then I knitted some more.....

Now I've enough dishcloths (and so have my friends) so I'm knitting for Bonnie Babies and the Christmas shoe boxes and I really must get my knitting machine out and get the production line moving!

I just love that feeling of holding something in your hand that hasn't seen daylight for centuries.

like layers of skin??? (Sorry - couldn't resist! How's your hand today?)

No really restarted any old hobbies...just plug along with the ones I always have....genealogy, slides, art. poetry, photography....

Lovely set of saddlebags, blue!! Looks like that would be a great hobby! I have a purse my dad tooled for my mom back in the '40's......How long did it take you to do the saddlebag set??

Any chance of a pic' of the purse? I like the older designs (to copy!)
I didn't really take much notice of how long it took.I just did a bit whenever I felt like it!The longest part is the hand stitching.

i like to keep my hands in all the different crafts, the one I have neglected for a long time is machine knitting and I really want to take it up again. But first I need to find more hours in the day

Not sure if I am able to call this a hobby, as well it may now be.
In high school I majored in commercial photography, did nicely and enjoyed it.
Went on in life to work in the electric utility industry ( no photography )
With the advent of digital photography, along with internet sales and such I have regained my interest in photography.
I am amazed how much info I have retained since HS which has been so long I don't care to mention.
I enjoy pic taking, along with the challenges of modern day photo- editing programs.

Can't do the pic of the purse, Blue...at least for awhile. It's in storage in the states, along with other bits of my life. And my tooled saddle.
