Thread: P&P Lowest first?

  1. #1

    Default P&P Lowest first?

We really need a P&P lowest first option, an item I recently bought took me a while to add up the costs and postage prices to find the cheapest, if this isn't implented, why? Thanks.

It would show the lowest postage price available if multiple options were available.
If the item shows a 'calculate' message, it should be at the bottom of listings, or eBid should automatically calculate it before we click the auction.

    edit: I mean Price + P&P

Also, this would be to replace Price --> Low to high, as that feature would be pointless is this was ever implemented.

Ah, you mean an option in the search? I think "price +p&P" is a more useful criterion.

Yup, thanks for clearing it up, I didn't know how to describe it neatly.

I second this one. As the site grows and there are more items to go through, this point become more and more of an issue.

I would like to see a search sort of purchase price + shipping cost.

This change would make it easier for buyers to narrow their choices down. I know it would make my buying easier at times.

agreed. I always look at the total cost (item price and postage) when looking for things.

    Yes, agreed.
It is tiresome to check out all listings for P/P costs when you search for the lowest price.
It would be handy to see total price, including postage.

If this is implemented, will eBid be able to figure out how much a calculated shipping charge is, and put the listing in the correct sort position? And how will they handle items with multiple shipping methods available, with widely varying rates? And whether to use the domestic rate and the international rate?

Google Product Search only offers a sort on lowest price, shipping is ignored, so this sort may not be feasible for U.S. sellers.
