    Default Petrol Strike

The Unite Union have agreed unanimously to strike when the union call them out for the distribution of fuel.

Good, isn't it when the country is in the state it is in?

I'd better go and put a couple of gallons in then!

Can't afford to put gallons in anymore, litres are cheaper! ( I think???!!!)

I suppose if we can't get any petrol we won't have to pay the next round of tax increases! Talk about crippling the country.
This govnment live in cloud pip cuckoo land.

    Cheers Alan

I think retired service men & women should take over the delivery of fuel
to the garages on a permanent basis,
they would appreciate having a job unlike certain greedy union members
that just want to hold our country to ransom.

The more money that "Unite" squeeze out of the country,
the less money there will be for people that deserve it.

Union members like these are taking the food out of the mouths of the
Nurses, Firemen, Police and the armed forces.
    Do they care, NO.
This is not what the unions were set up for.

I heard some of the poor delivery drivers are only paid £45,000. Must be so hard for them (I don't think). No harder than a driver of a double decker bus with loads of passengers to keep safe and plough through towns and cities for a measly 8.70 per hour!

Sorry, I forgot about our brilliant Bus drivers.
I think "Unite" Train drivers took their share.

It's going to look great to the rest of the world during our Olympic year.

The government are going to be under considerable pressure to get this sorted - it's just a question of whether they'll take the tough approach and risk chaos or cave in and risk looking like they're weak.

Just announcing the strike will put a strain on the petrol distribution system because we will all keep our tanks as full as we can afford, meaning that the petrol sits in our tanks (reducing our mpg).

I never have a full tank of petrol a) because I can't afford it and b) because if the tank is nearly empty it can't go far if it is stolen. Sir Nigel Nissan stays outside because Fifi Citroen is kept in the garage!
