"Signing in forever" only applies to the seller, he doesn't have to tick the little "24 hours login" box anymore.
Everytime a seller opens ebid he actually logs in automatically and this is put in the ebay database.
After an X time of inactivity (may still be 24 hours but is most likely shorter) he is logged out.
So...you are not signed in forever, only looks like that.

Im logged in for 72 hours and its working for me, dont see the point of forever.

I use the 24 hour option myself, keeps me on my toes.

I have never liked the login for 24 hours thing,
as it always seemed to kick me out at an inconvenient time.

As I understand how it works: You'll stay logged in to the site for as long as you chose an option without get logged out while your still on the site. If you turn off your PC then I think the eBid system will log you out automatically. If you just close the eBid browser window, then, I don;t know what happens.
