Default Need help with what this item for curtain making is properly called...

I am shifting it for postage only, (would rather it went to an appreciative home) it is two 5foot lengths of the ribbon stuff that goes at the top of some curtains to hang them up, but I dont know what it is properly called:

Hi, I'm looking for some of that, but could you tell me is it soft or fairly stiff? I need to replace some that's gone soft in the wash!

BTW it's called curtain header tape.

The backing ribbon is fairly stiff (stiffer than usual fabric anyway) as far as I can tell, though the string/thread bits you hook the hangy tab things over is just normal as far as I can see (I am not an expert in this kind of thing, it came off some curtains that I made a Victorian dress out of for theatre! Costumes I know about, not curtains, I am hoplessly undomesicated!) The listing is here http://uk.ebid.net/for-sale/x-length...h-64284261.htm if youre interested.

Thank you. Will go to it now. I'll send a donation to either your charity or your university fund, you choose which ever.

Just half an hour ago I was saying to OH 'I'll have to get some new curtain tape,
the curtains in the sitting room look dreadful, they are hanging all wrong'.

    Weird or what?
