Thread: Pink Depression Glass, Please Help.

  1. #1

Default Pink Depression Glass, Please Help.

    Attachment 29287

I bought these pieces 5-6 years ago and had them in my flea market booth in a locked case. Now I am trying to list them and I can't find anything about them in my glass books. I know the S&P shakers are hobnail but no idea to maker. Any information would be helpful, I have looked at Tia's, Ruby Lane, Google, ask, everything I can think of.

    Thanks very much.

Carol, I think we're friends on facebook. I will invite you to a glass group on FB. I'm sure they would be able to help you.

Hi if they have no makers mark on them at all then it would be difficult to put a maker on them. so i would just say that in the listing maker unknown. nice set though

Hi there Wyo, if I could afford, I would buy all these pieces from you.
They are beautiful, especially the fluted glass bowl, and the S & P shakers are totally awesome.
Sure wished I was richer ... maybe the lottery?

The S & P and maybe the vase look like pink Depression glass to me. The others look more like Rose glass..................not an expert, but they are, at least in your pic, much deeper pink than Depression glass that I know of. I have several pieces of the pink, and they are a lighter, more mellow color than the fluted bowl and the flat plate.....which are more rosey. Maybe it's your pic, tho............so take it with a grain of salt from the hobnail salt shaker!!! xo
    Ta-Ta for now!

I consider that more ruby glass than depression glass. I collect pink depression glass here in the UK as it is really cheap, I can pick bits up for pennies, but the colour is much paler and pinker than that.

If I could work out how to load a picture (and I'm really dim at anything techie) I'd show you part of my collection.
