A B&M auction house or a pawn type shop perhaps will give you an idea of value if you have either of them in your area. Also perhaps, you could try some antique shops - and double what they tell you for listing it here. As far as pics go - take a few random pages, that show the quality of the stamps, perhaps the variation of stamps, and give a full worded description detailing the countries and / or continents that they originate from. Any information that the helpful valuer can give you - detail it. The other option is to just go for pot luck on sale price and hope that you've got it right.
I would try and stear clear of any "pawn shop" type places, as are only interested in a quick profit. Any ideas on the age of the album ? Is there a manufacturers name ? Roughly how big is it and how many pages ? Any clues ? Sometimes people used to write their details and date the collection started, on the inside cover.
There is an auction house near you; Tor Valley Auctions 262 Torquay Road Paignton.
I have no idea what they are like, never been there myself, but if they are worth their salt, they will be able to advise a price on a stamp collection
