It appears "YDC UK & USA" ended via poll April 2010; about YDC76.

If my memory serves me right, there was only one YDC with one UK charity and one US charity and we tried to see who could raise the most. It made for interesting comments on the pimp thread.
The way it is now most of the money goes to UK charities and I have a little (personal) problem with that as there are so many needs here too. I just tell myself that no matter where we live there are needs so just give to whatever is set for the month. I have tried naming a different charity to give my money to but don't get as many bids.
This is why I am hoping the YDC 100 named charity will benefit all of us.
Agree with much of what you have said. Have decided to give to USA charities through any activity my charity shop does. I also enjoy giving to organizations locally that I support. There are so many needs all over the world. Charity begins at home and spreads abroad. It is good to do both.
Shezz posted details of a lot of the earlier YDC's, fairly recently.
I think it might have been on the eBid Facebook group page.

Yes, we didn't have anything as sophisticated as a list, but I asked people to add into the thread I began posting the names of supported charities and we got some really good information back. It's an impressive collection and serves to show folks what YDC is all about.
I know when I was the organiser of the YDC I did have a thread that I managed to get the 'Boyz' to do as a sticky, giving the amounts raised and the charities supported for 2007 to 2009.
Heres the link to it - it should help in Gills cause. http://www.ebid.net/forums/showthread.php?127396-YDC-Total-of-Totals
At the same time I did a spread sheet covering the early YDC's, charities supported and amounts raised using the info archived in the forums - although, at the time, not being an IT numpty I simplified my search to YDC and trawled through the millions of pages manually. Not really sure if that helps.
