hi guys just got this sweet box i know it's either chinese or japanese and would like to find out more about it as it's lovely but i can't tell what the stamp is thanks guys any information would be greatly appreciated from you gurus

My son is learning Japanese and thinks the mark on the bottom is to do with good fortune and luck. See this link. http://jisho.org/kanji/details/%E7%A6%8F He doesn't know if it's Chinese or Japanese though.

yeah i see it with part of the lettering but the whst looks like a B and one at back hopefully a makers mark. i'm hoping it's solid silver but won't know until i get me mits on it thanks for helping tell your son good work young master guru

noticed a window symbol similiar to my first symbol meaning rice fields lol mabye gift meaning good fortune on your rice fields lol

It is a "Chinese" Character but also used in Japan & Korea... so the box could be from any of those countries.
