The invoice must not be sent to the buyer immediately. The seller has to be notified that the invoice is ready, have the ability to access it and apply discounts, and finally, submit it to the buyer for payment.

I have just added a notice to all my items that buyers wait for an invoice.
This is a must for multiple purchases.

I have been forced to add this unpleasant notice to my coin and stamp listings:

Combined S&H: 10¢ for each additional stamp, 45¢ for each additional coin, actual weight for sets. To receive this discount, request an invoice from me. DO NOT PAY ANY INVOICE FROM EBID, S&H WILL BE WRONG.

This doesn't give buyers a very good impression, but getting an invoice with an outrageous shipping charge is even worse. I can't even add the word "please" because of space limitations.

The shopping cart has to be removed or fixed.

GREAT! Now I have to do a paypal refund on every multiple sale! My time is of no value....

What do I have to do so as to have the shopping cart work correctly? I think it is a great idea.

A buyer usually wants to complete the purchase immediately - not wait until an invoice is sent.

Have had a taste of "the shopping cart".

My instant invoice apeared for multi-purchase, with full s/h fees charged. Unfortunately, my seller has not responded to any of my AAL inquiries concerning a combined s/h discount. Am very disappointed.

Hmmm, haven't paid yet; I generally do not send payment of to a non-responsive seller. Particularly if all I am asking about is a discount they are advertising on their auctions. Hopefully they are on vacation or sabbatical or something.

A defunct shopping cart can be of benefit.

since ive been here most buyers have always paid straight away and if its several items most have requested an invoice, the few that pay straight away for a multi-purchase ive refunded the discount.

Buyers have always been able to pay for multi-purchases straight away so my self can see no advantage in a shopping cart.

Ebays shopping cart enables you to pay for several purchases from differant sellers in one go if thats what is proposed on Ebid hope that i can opt out.
