May be some major dissatisfaction with ebay's changes at that time ?

If that was the case the record could be broken every couple of months.

It seems a little odd that the site has grown so much yet that record has remained for over 4 years. Maybe we should all arrange to log into the forum on a set date and time and break it just for the heck of it.

I wonder if there was a special Lifetime offer on at that time. I joined as a Seller + that month and had a really good deal.

Perhaps somebody got away with a mention on fleebay? It was a member on one of the fleebay boards that gave me the heads-up
