No sales

Hi,

Can anyone help me find out why I am making no sales on eBid? I sell the same items on eBay, Amazon Europe and our website at the same price I have them listed but nothing so far.

I am fiairly new to eBid so presume I am doing something wrong.

Does eBid not work well at full RRP on Buy it Now Auctions?
Is there something wrong with payment settings that I can somehow test?
Do I need to promote my store and / or individual items better?
Do I need to try auctions with a reserve?

Any suggestions from seasoned eBidders would be really welcome.

I see you have listed your websites name in your about me
I hope you don't list items for sale on the website, if you, then you are not allowed to mention your website.

I see some of your items are Run Until Sold.

This means that they will remain at the bottom of the listings.
Most members suggest that you run them as Buy now for say 7 days with 10 auto re-lists.
This way they rise to the top of their category every week.
Then you can easily repost them after 10 weeks.

Also remember that ebid only has 1 million members as against ebay with 100 million.
But ebid is growing steadily

Hopefully you will get some more advice from other members.

Hi! As Julie said, remove the reference to your other website. EBid is for promoting eBid and eBidders here.

Click the help button top right of any page, then read the FAQ's on the left, esp about listing and selling. Gives some of the do's and don'ts of the site.

Read the forum threads which contain a lot of very useful advice.

Join in the forums.
Post on the Plug Your Auctions thread (you can do this 1 x per 24 hours....only one thread allowed. Delete the old one if you want to start a new one.

If you sell the same items on eBay and Amazon, could you not reduce the price on eBid. With the lower fees you can reduce by 5% and still be 3% better off on FVF's. On top of that you have no listing or store fees.

Hello and welcome to eBid! I had a look at your auctions and found two things which might help:

1. Your listings are all RUS (Run Until Sold). Doing that will keep all your listings at the "bottom of the pile" and will never move on up the ladder so-to-speak for better views by potential buyers. What I do is run my listings for 10 days with 10 auto-relists...this gives you 100 days before you will have to relist them (which is also very easy-peasy)...just FYI

2. You don't sell to the United States...AAAACK!!! Why not? I, for one, would be interested in these very special products.

Hi and welcome to eBid. Some thoughts:

1) Add a signature link to your forum posts, so members can click to view your listings.
2) Offer international shipping whenever possible to widen your potential customer base.
3) Use Plug Your Auctions to promote your items (1x per 24 hours, remove/delete old plug before adding new one).
4) Use 7-10 day listings with auto reposts to ensure your items move up searches.
5) Participate in forums and eBid community activities, as YDC auctions, to help good causes and increase your visibility.
6) Tell everyone you know and meet about eBid.
7) Use social networking (as Facebook, Twitter, personal blog) to promote your listings.
8) Read Astral's FAQs page, Bykimbo's page and the Help section for good advice and tips.
9) Use MaO (if it's your thing) on listings and/or offer combined shipping or other incentives to buyers (if feasible) to purchase your items.
10) Let former customers on other sites know you're selling on eBid.
