Second shipping option / add-on

It would be helpful to have a second shipping price box for add-on or extra purchases. For example I sell a book - shipping is $2.50, buyer purchases a second book and shipping shows again $2.50 totalling $5.00.

If when we listed itmes we had the option to list a second shipping price for any itmes after the first (combined shipping price), then the buyers wouldn't have to wait for a combined/adjusted invoice from the sellers.

This would make the purchasing transaction process a bit smoother. I know at least one other site does this so it's possible.

As a seller of multiple smaller items where most buyers purchase multiple items, it would be a greatly appreciated addition.

Hi,

This is possible using the "extra item" shipping cost/weight option that will appear if you choose a quantity of more than 1 on the listing form. If a buyer purchases more than 1 of the item the shipping will be calculated accordingly.

If you wish to spread a shipping strategy over more than one listing then you can create some shipping codes at My eBid > My Defaults > Shipping Defaults. Create a code and use the code when listing to link your products into a shipping matrix.

Try My eBid > My Defaults > My Shipping Defaults.

You can now create a set of shipping rules including extra item costs, give it a code and just list items using the shipping code.
