I found that it wasn't the nicotine addiction that was the problem, but the habit of smoking at certain times of the day: after meals; watching Crossroads (way back then ) socializing; oh, way too many to mention.

Good luck - well done - BIG hugs to all of you.

At the moment with me it's every second I just can't get it out of my mind........and food does not taste any better to me either in fact it's bog awful, what they are doing to our food I will never know, I know have a packet of Lurpac butter that tastes like something gone off in fact it's in the bin now.

Agree, food never tasted all that great to me to begin with and doesn't honestly taste much different now, but in my case it may be the bad food choices.

Hang in there and BIG hugs,

Tried the e cig for 3 months. Due to it not being the same I would pull on it all day long and ended up with nicotine poisoning everyday and ended up going back to regular cigs.
Now I buy straight tobacco and non chemically altered filters and roll my own. $10.70 per carton (200 cigs) and no chemicals.
Still not healthy but healthier then what the cigarette companies are selling us.

That is true. Nobody really knows all the chemicals in manufactured cig's, except maybe the tobacco companies and they aren't telling. Used to roll my own many years ago and they tasted fresher than the storebought kind and were cheaper, too.

Hang in there everyone and BIG hugs,

Same here, but my doctor told me that 40 a day was seriously risking my health.

Well done Jay...........keep it up, I hit 6 months without one last Saturday, I am now off my patches and just have a nicorette inhilator and use just one cartridge a day ( you are allowed up to 12 a day I think) most of the time I just clutch it in my little mitt, just knowing it's there seems to do the trick.

Congrats to all of you!! I've never smoked, but lived with someone while they quit......I know it's not easy. But being off tobacco has to be so much better for you. It's not just the potentially bad chemicals that may be added later, but the pesticides and herbicides used on the crops when they are growing can't be good for you or your lungs.

Glad someone has come up with helpful ways to wean off the butts.
    Ta-Ta for now!
