Lexmark to quit inkjet printer business

Lexmark has announced it will quit the inkjet printer business as part of efforts to improve its profitability.

The US firm said it would stop development of the technology by 2013 and close its inkjet supplies factory in Cebu, Philippines by 2015.

So there's plenty of time to change your printer but maybe it wouldn't be worth buying a new Lexmark any time soon.

That's a shame I quite like them.Easy to fix & find parts for & the cartridges can be refilled a few times.
Bit of a coincidence but I was given about 100 cartridges for a Canon Pixma today & was going to list them.I think I'll buy the printer for them instead!

My dear old Canon Pixma is coming to the end of it's life and I was seriously considering switching to Lexmark.... Time to reconsider....

Don't suppose they will fit a Canon Pixma MG2155 by any chance, the black is a 540 the colour 541. Been looking on eBid for some and none listed. You have a sale if they are.

Here in NZ all we see is HP and Canon and Brother inkjets.
Hardly ever seen Epson
So will they be next ?

I had quite a good time with Lexmark.

I would sell their no1 cartridge twin packs for £20 on eBay (I bought them from boot sales for £5)
