Default Going back to old school!

I wish a majority of people would go back to old school payment method. Postal money orders, directly from the post office.
This used to work so well, until all the frauds began counterfieting and running with the money.

Im wondering now. With paypal being so strict, with google checkout having glitches, and money bookers changing thier policy.

Whats it all going to come down to.

I recently decided to sell some coffee on ebid. Im only offering payments of US Postal money orders only. I know every one says that no one will buy my items, only because of the payment method I offer.

Why is every one so skeptical?

Give it a try! Go old school. You save on fees and you dont have to worry about getting identity theft scammed and you dont have to worry about paypal!

I don't pay for anything with postal orders as I am charged a ridiculously high fee to do it.

My preferred payment is bank transfer

Yes, agree with moonwitch. I never use postal orders to send a payment.
I mainly use my debit card or Paypal for online sales - I can't remember when I last sent a cheque but I have received one this past week for someone that was unable to access their Paypal funds.

We all agree with you but we have to offer popular options as well.

I am down to Paypal and Money Orders. I like Postal Money Orders. I do not mind other Money Orders, because I do not ship goods until my bank clears the Money Order. Have never lost a penny with Money Orders.

Google has been removed from all of my auctions recently. They cancelled a substantial sale of mines recently; and I am not sure if it was justified or not. I should know over the next day or so though.

I personally believe that successful sales can be made without Paypal, Google, or Money Bookers. I remember buying a coin set for almost $2,000 from a seller who would only accept a check or money order. I was glad not to have alot of competition, because most people wanted to use Paypal. If someone wants the item, they will buy it. Also sales can be slow to none, even if one offers the "3 Bigees".

P.S. I would even be willing to go with Money Orders, gold, & silver.

I have been considering starting up a community bartering bank. This could include payment in regular money, gold, silver, coins, collectibles, sweat equity, skills exchange (doctors, lawyers, nurses, social workers, plumbers, electricians, roofers, artist, construction workers, etc.), and resource exchange (switching food & other stuff with someone who has extra and needs your extra).

OK, this is a great idea. I will trade you two pounds of rice for your 1975 US PROOF SET BLACK BOX (6 COINS).

That will work, if you could slip in at least a 0.5 gram piece of gold.
