Did not get final value fee back after cancelling sale

I cancelled the sale on listing 69404864 because buyer asked me to cancel it. I just checked my ebid fees and I did not receive my FVF back. I have sent a note to support but just wanted to give anyone else who may have cancelled sales to check their ebid fees to make sure they got their FVF back.

I just looked and saw a couple in the last two months where the sale was canceled but there is no refund, and no option for claiming it on the AAL.

I'm wondering if the process has changed. I say this because I looked in help and it said:
26) How can I cancel the sale?

To cancel a purchase go to "My eBid > My eBid Dashboard > Sold". From the dropdown menu select the "Cancel this sale" option. Enter the reason in the box provided and click the submit button.

Please note this option will not be available if payment has been made or payment has been marked as sent by the buyer. Any Buddy Points earnt will be removed. Final Value Fees will not be removed. Feedback may still be left by both parties.

This is not the way it used to be. If ebid is going to change the way cancelled sales are handled then they need to let the members know. If this is the new way that cancelled fees are handled [no FVF refunded] I will no longer cancel sales and just go through the NPB process. Not a good way to deal with buyers, but I'm not going to eat the FVF. I was trying to make a new buyer happy when they asked me to cancel sale. I won't make that mistake again.

Well just heard back from support. You do NOT get FVF back for cancelled sales.

I will not be cancelling any more sales. I will go through the NPB process and just tick the buyer off. Way to go ebid. Not a good policy, IMHO.

It was not that way when it was introduced. That is why I helped the buyer out. But I won't do it again. Dumb move on ebid's part. Ebid should just do away with the cancel sale process if they are going to punish sellers for using it.

The more I think about this madder I get. It's only 6 cents BUT if ebid is going to change fees like this they need to inform members. Maybe ebid should send a policy change notice to members like they send the newsletter each month if a fee charge is changing.

That's not good to hear as with the two sales I've cancelled previously due to buyers completely misunderstanding what my listings were about, I did GET my FVFs back.
