Default My first duplicate cancellation by eBid

Good morning everyone. Well I received my first 'bad boy' letter from eBid, saying I had duplicates of 3 items listed. I didn't mean to do it, honestly!!

I set my listings to run 7 days, with 10 automatic re-postings. After 10 postings I thought the item was closed and I could start the process over.

I have been checking my " unsold" items area and figured if they were unsold I could go ahead and re-list them. Guess I was wrong. I must not totally understand the unsold items area yet.

So, if I set an item to re-post 10 times, and it hasn't sold after the first time, or second time, etc., does it appear on the ''unsold'' item page, and if it does, is it clearly marked as to whether or not it is going to list again, so when I am looking at the unsold items I don't happen to select it and manually re-list it, causing a duplicate?

Does this make sense, what I am asking?

When you relist items from your unsold folder, click both the Delete & the Relist tabs at the top - that clears all the relists and stops you from listing duplicates.

I do all of my relisting manually, after I relist an auction I immediately go to unsold auctions and delete it.
I kinda think maybe people are hesitant to delete and auction, however once it's reposted, it is a completely new listing with a new #

At least they tell you now , they use to just delete them from listings.

When our 7 day 10 auto reposts have finished, they end up in the unsold area and we just relist them, after they are relisted, we go back and delete them all. Never had any issues with duplicate listings though.

Thank you all for the information. You have to realize that I have been 15 years on the other site, using a web hosting service that kept all my previous listings as an inventory. I had over 1900 items listed in inventory that I could call up and re-list or change at any time. Now I find I must really pay attention to what is listed or I will have duplicates. Appreciate all the replies. JB
