Thread: Post or No Post

  1. #1

    Default Post or No Post

Is it normal not to receive post on a daily basis? last week I only got post on a saturday. Yet I've been waiting for important letters from my solicitor. Has anyone else gone a whole week without receiving post?

Not being funny Craig, but you do ask a lot of postal related questions for an ex-postman.

In answer to your question, longest I have gone without mail is 2 days

I tried asking our local postman questions about this, but unfortunately, he did not seem to be able to speak English.

I get junk mail every day!

When I objected to the postie I was told I have to contact the PO and opt out!
    Blerdy cheek of it!

Chinese and Asian people too insist on putting their mailshots through my letterbox despite the notice on my door to the contrary..

No use talking to them as the can't understand English.

Especially when it's hissed through gritted teeth!

We are in a slightly different situation than most in that our mail is brought by a 4 x 4 due to the fact that we are at the top of a long track. But without a doubt the postman does not deliver letters when he gets them. We get at most 3 deliveries a week and in almost 2 years living here have never had a single letter delivered, we always get a minimum of 3 letters. I think he waits until there are a few before he can be bothered.

As for non delivery, wife needed a new debit card, it did not arrive, ordered another, it did not arrive, arranged to collect from the bank 7 miles away and we eventually got the card. Asked them to deliver the new pin number to the bank as the cards had gone astray, that was delivered to the house. It did however prove that the cards were being addressed properly.

some days the postman does not even come into our road, I find it difficult to believe that no one in the whole road gets no mail ( sometimes for 3 days ) and we don't even seem to get as much junk mail as we did.
