...but I have to say I can't recommend FrontPage listings:

    • I don't consider it worth the cost.
    • The page has to randomly load on the category you are selling in (or the viewer select).
    • Since the last site re-style there is no accompanying image (a major omission).
    • The displayed listings are 'padded out' with non-FrontPage listings.
    • If others are like me, they don't enter eBid via the front page.
    • If like me they occasionally happen to enter via the Front Page they click straight through.

eBid needs to re-think FrontPage - or seriously drop the price.

I'm with Astral on the frontpage issue.

I've suggested before that eBid consider dumping this section:

Then raising the section below, adding an extra tab for FrontPage items (I've called it Premium for example's sake), and making that tab always the selected one on page load:

It should only contain FrontPage items that have paid to be there, and not padded out with ones that haven't.

That would, at least, give the seller more for their money than they are getting now.

I think that, currently, anyone forking out for a FrontPage listing is justified in feeling they are not receiving value for money (...maybe even ripped off).

Oh, and while I'm picking fault...I do wish eBid would stop referring to everything as 'Auctions'.

Yeah, I'm with you on this one - NONE of my normal listings are auctions and when people link in to my store it confuses the hell out of them to see everything described as an 'auction'...
