limit on store sub categories?

Hi,

I'm trying to locate what the limit is on number of subcategories allowed under each parent category in my store. I can't seem to find this answer on the site or in the forums. Does anyone know if there is a limit and if so what the limit is.

In my newest store I will have probably around 15 parent categories, but a few of them will possibly have many subcategories.

Ok - apparently the answer is 15 - in case anyone else needed to know.

I just went into one of my stores and kept adding subcategories under a parent category and it only allows for 15 of them.

= 450 sub categories

It would be nice if we could just have 2250 subcategories to use as we like (or even more) - as I'm needing about that many for one store. not including the other stores, but I'll just have to get creative.

Was hoping to have each celebrity, band, politician as a separate subcategory in their particular parent category, but that is obviously not going to work. I want to avoid subcategories like a-d, e-g, h-l, etc.... Does anyone have any creative ideas for subcategories. This is for the Buttons and magnets store I'm currently filling with inventory.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
