    Default Microwave choccie cake

Got this from a friend. I don't have a microwave, but thought some of you might like this - let me know if you try it and how it turns out

    Microwave chocolate cake

    Ingredients

    • 4 tbsp flour
    • 4 tbsp sugar
    • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
    • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
    • 1 tbsp oil
    • 3 tbsp milk
    • 1 egg

    Method

    • Mix all ingredients carefully in a microwaveable mug
    • Microwave for 3 minutes
    • Have a look! If it needs more, give it another 30 seconds
    • Serve hot, mmm!

It's a lot nicer than supermarket bought cake that's for sure! I didn't have cocoa in so used chocolate drinking powder instead. Not as nice as traditionally cooked chocolate cake - but I am enjoying it regardless! Perhaps a bit less sugar would have been better for my taste. It cooked in precisely the 3 minutes (800W).
Thank you for posting - I might try & adapt it when I try another flavour.....

Thank you for posting this! I immediately tried it. It turned out fine at exactly 3 minutes, in a rather large mug. It could make two to four servings depending on the daintiness of appetites. I like that it has no leavening ingredient beyond the steam from the egg and milk, so you can't overbeat it, and obviously it's quick to assemble. No beaters to wash, either.

Mmmmmmm, sounds delicious! I may even give this one a shot myself, (if it doesn't turn out, the boys won't mind, LOL).

Best wishes for many sales to all,

I saw some of these at Shopper's Drug Mart, when I went to get my prescriptions filled. They cost Canaidian $2.50.

They have already commercialized a good thing.

Drinking chocolate has added sugar, so it would have been sweeter.
I will have to give this a try

you will still need sugar, but I would probably use 3 instead of 4 spoonfuls
