How was everyones December 2012 Sales?

Loast month we had a discussion about November sales and people thought it was great. So here is the discussion about December / Christmas 2012 sales.

Personally, not discussing sales, but I think 2012 economically here in the states was better than 2011, so I expected to have a pretty good Decemeber sales.

I bought some items specially for Christmas time. It was a better month than I had in a long time, but not as good as I hoped. Sold some low end comics, and two single action figures. I only sold one of the action figure sets I thought we be good christmas gifts, and that was though Criagslist. Sadly, no Ebid sales.

Ive made more sales so far in Jan than I did in all of Dec. Maybe people got money for Christmas presents. No matter the reason it is encouraging and I need to do more listing!

I've done quite well so far in January - better than 2 items per day on one id and MUCH better than that on the other.

I think collectors know how much money they have to spend after Christmas

Had 2 since christmas, none in the run upto . Had 2 good months October and November, with a few sales in September aswell- following a quiet summer. Still seems hit and miss, so need to get on and list afew more!

Hopefully i t will pick up and then keep going- same for us all I guess but some items do seem to sell better than others, maybe we don't have the same range of buyers as other sites.

I had a very poor December - actually the lowest month of the year.

Not just on Ebid (where I've only started selling again since October), but also on the other sites I sell on.

Having said that, I do not blame the sites or the economic climate for it.

Rather my line (postcards), which can be very personal and people being busy getting organized for Christmas, as well as the fact that I've been much less active during December and probably listed less than half the number of items I normally do in a month.

I had 33 in december and none on this account so far this year but think I have had one on hubby's account.

Was selling 45 a month since July. December shot up to 65 and so far this month I have sold every day and managed 18 sales in 9 days, so could be close to Decembers record.

All in all 2013 is looking verg good indeed.

I admit I too did more in the 7 days after Christmas than the pre-Christmas part of the month. And January also got off to a good start, but lets save that discussion for the January 2013 forum question.

After the bumper month of November it quietened down a bit for December but I still managed 16 sales so I'm happy with that.
January is ticking over nicely, already have 15 sales and 4 more bids in waiting to finish.
