    you are right... I think they were in the wrong line when they handed out brains... they must be the thickest birds on the planet now that the dodo is extinct.....

    mind you they are a bit like chickens and can only fly very short distances, hence the walking

    A number of years ago, one spent most of the winter in the garden. In spring he brought his wife just once and I never saw him again until the next winter.

    Although I love seeing them, it does worry me a bit, because we have quite a few cats around, and as was already pointed out, they are not good flyers and usually quite slow to get off the ground.
