Unable to enter amount for auction only fixed price

I just listed my first item and was not able to enter a dollar amount for auction style and was only able to do fixed price. Is this because I am a new seller? Or is it because of the item I am selling? Been selling on Ebay for several years and never had this over there. I am trying to dump Ebay and possibly migrate here but need to find out why I am having this problem. Thanks.

Take a look at Mel's website here & scroll down to section 3 (Fixed Price).

If the box is ticked under the price in section 3 you need to untick it to be able enter a bid price.

You cannot create an RUS (Run Until Sold) auction style listing with a start bid price - it has to be BIN price.

To create an auction style listing with a start bid price, you need to have a live listing running for about ie 7 - 9 days with up 10 auto relists (optional)

Ah ok...that makes sense. Guess that answers my question! So use to the way it's done on that other site. Thanks for all the replies!
