Default Just Joined And Would Appreciate Some Practical Advice

    Hi everyone,

I've just joined E-Bid today and want to start selling. I'm not a trader but do collect coins and have recently been selling some on E-Bay. I intend to continue to buy and sell coins as I've just retired and have some time now. I'm considering paying the £50 an upgrading to the Seller+ deal. Is it worth it?
    Thanks
    Frank

    Hi, Frankyg! Welcome to eBid.

The answer to your question may vary depending on who you ask. I personally think it's a great deal.
Read through the various forum threads, click the help button at the top right of any page and read the FAQ's, esp about Listing (gives the do's and don't's, also).

If you have specific questions, just ask............people here are friendly and willing to honestly help people.

Some one of the coin sellers/buyers may come along and give you an idea of their success. Good luck!
    Ta-Ta for now!

Yes, I agree with HM. There would be a lot of opinions on that question.

My personal opinion is that eBid.net can be used as part of an overall selling strategy.

For me, I'd say that the Seller+ fee was worth it. But it really depends on the seller and what their goals are.

Welcome to eBid Franyg! The Seller+ Lifetime membership is the only way to go for a serious seller on eBid. It is defnately the most economic choice. I have gotten back my fee over & over. It also allows you to relax and spend your energy on developing your stores & eBid business.

I consider coin buying and selling to be one of the "hot" niches on eBid. My coin shop is where I have the most selling activity; and most of my purchases are coins. Wish you well on your eBid sales and purchases.

Best money I ever spent online was my money on Seller+, I get it back in savings on FVF every month. At the moment eBid is growing, and the more good seller we can get the more this growth will continue. If you do go for it you can always get a few listings going and then come back to the forums and ask if they are OK. Plenty of us will give you good, constructive advice.

Yes if you are a serious seller and plan to be in for the long haul its a good deal.

It also depends on the value of the items you will be selling.

And there are ways of getting it on a special price.

But if you decied against it for a while, there is always the Platinum option which gives you most of the advantages of a seller plus listing.

    Hi Frank

I would say that SELLER+ is worth far more than £50 - but eBid has set it at a really cheap price.

Go for it....... You can have a nice coin shop and start building your own coin empire.

    Hi and welcome to eBid.

Agree with the above, if you plan on sticking around and/or listing many items IMHO seller+ is the way to go, made back my original investment and then some some time ago.

Posted this (selling suggestions) to another thread but it might be helpful here as well:

    1) Offer international shipping whenever possible to widen your potential customer base.
    2) If seller+ use your 5 free stores to organize your items.
    3) Use BIN prices whenever possible (in addition to auction style if desired) to ensure your items are uploaded to Google shopping.
    4) Use Plug Your Auctions section of the forum (1x per 24 hours, delete/close old post before adding new one) to advertise your items for sale.
    5) Use social media sites to advertise your listings.
    6) Add a signature link to your forum posts so members can click to view your listings.
    7) Check out the Help pages and Astral's FAQs page (info. about signature link on Astral's page), lots of good info. here.
    8) Tell everyone you know and meet about eBid, including former customers on other sites.
    9) Use MaO if it's your thing or offer combined shipping or similar to give buyers more incentive to purchase from you.
    10) List as many items as possible to give buyers more choices.
    11) Use 7-10 day listings instead of RUS to ensure your items move up searches.
    12) Participate in the forums and eBid activities (as the monthly YDC charity auctions if it's your thing) so members get to know you.

Good luck and best wishes for many sales to all,
