I refreshed... it was the same

I edited it again (twice)

I've cleared cache.. still the same. Can't get rid of that random space!

I think it is a case of eBid thinking it knows better than you what you intended to put. The site has always broken up titles if the run of characters exceeds a certain number with no spaces. I don't think they have allowed for the fact that the German language often uses one word where we use about ten in English.

It has been requested many times for this imposition of spaces inserted ad hoc to be stopped. The requests have never been granted though. I really don't see what purpose it serves.

This might be a silly suggestion but have you tried putting the long word within quotation marks? Maybe there is a way to get around how the code is interpreting your text.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, support have confirmed that the code doesn't allow words over 20 letters long in titles.

I suppose I should just be grateful that I don't have loads of items from Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysilio gogogoch (joke! I know, I should just put Llanfair pg if I had any)

P.S. the forum software is also nannying me. It won't allow the full name of the longest place name in Britain without inserting the space which you can all see
