I know by putting a * in a search, you get any letters from there on in a search. Would a * in a title do the same thing....or would it prevent the item from going to Google shop (or whatever it is).??
    Ta-Ta for now!

I'm concerned about listing rather than searching - but if I have to put random spaces in, a search may not work properly

in this instance you can list it as Kirche Bad Schussenried Steinhausen, i.e leave the dash out.

I still think that with better coding this issue could be resolved. I am also willing to guess that de-capitalisation is still making our listing titles look like we are all illiterate.

Of course I can do that - but it's wrong. This is an international site and that includes Germany. Yes, we can all make jokes about their long words but it's their language and we should be able to render it correctly.

I agree. Ebid is an international site. Can we use accented letters? I haven't tried but it is another example of a difference between some languages and English.
I think it's important because I would like to see Ebid expanding into Europe.

The original reason for a limit was that those using titles with no spaces were breaking the layout of the site in some places, surely if that is still a possible problem, instead of a forced space, a hyphen at the beginning of the next line if the layout forces a break would work, in the same way it is used in printed media.

In which case they might as well get rid of the check entirely.
