Best wishes for many sales to all,
While I can see an advantage to blocking listings that keep popping up in searches that one has viewed and determined that they aren't interested in, I'm not sure blocking all of a seller's listings, old & new, would be something many would want to do. I suppose if one didn't wish to do business with a particular seller, but I'm not sure I'd, as a buyer, want to limit my search opportunities in future searches merely because I'm tired of seeing the sellers listings that have been listed for awhile.
Well, for me, searching for Postcards would be much easier if I could block sellers that - yes - I will NEVER buy from.
Sellers can have a Blackball list - why can't buyers?
I agree this could be a useful search option. I would prefer the term "exclude" rather than "block". As an example I would use it to exclude my own items from my searches.
Block - Exclude - Omit - call it whatever - just wish it were possible so that I don't see the same ol' same ol' from the same sellers - is it an act of vanity, I wonder? - are sellers (of Postcards) really selling?
I found a seller with 0 feedback ( yes, .... not a good indicator, I know) - been on since 2010 + has over 31k Postcard listings! - yet no sales! - why not? - I know why, but it's only my opinion .......
Clogging up the system nevertheless and would be worthwhile Blocking
We all start of with 0 feedback, also the seller may have sold some postcards but has not yet received feedback as feedback here is optional so not many buyers or sellers for that matter leave feedback.
Also what the OP is referring to is an option called:
Block buyers / Sellers with 0 feedback
Which in my opinion is not worth it as they'd not get any sales.
Something along the lines of this
Sellers with a Feedback score
Block sellers who have a Feedback score of 0 or lower. This requirement can help you to avoid sellers who have received no Feedback from other eBid members.

yawn! ........ you are missing the original point altogether:-)
- a Buyer should have the option to Block a Seller
- same as a Seller can Block a buyer -
It's called Buyer Choice
