Just been reading about new payment methods and thought that one or two would be good for eBid to adopt. In particular direct mobile payments. According to the Daily Mail:

From spring this year, anyone who links a mobile number to their bank account can make paying a business or friend as easy as sending a text message.

There will be no need to dig out sort codes or account numbers and customers need only register with their bank to benefit.

So far, banks and building societies covering 90 per cent of the UK’s current account market are committed. This includes the high street ‘big five’ – HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, RBS/NatWest, Barclays and Santander – plus Metro Bank, Danske Bank and Cumberland Building Society.

Adopting this might boost business, reduce seller costs and give a chance for a press release and a bit of advertising. Would be good to see eBid be at the forefront on something like this. What I would like to see is a 'Pay By Mobile' button that after purchasing would give the buyer whatever details are needed to complete the transaction.
