Surely, regardless of what eBay says, that is against the law. The buyer is entitled to the goods they paid for or their money - but not both.

I expected them to make a decision;
then if the buyer was to get a refund they would have to send the item back via a tracked source.

THIS DID NOT HAPPEN!

I agree that for a tenner it is not worth the hassle, let alone the possible costs. That's what these vermine rely on.

It would be good if a few people did take legal action though, it might put an end to these antics if they knew there could be consequences.

I am sure that sellers were not allowed to leave neg ;feedback or leave neg;remarks...the seller has no chance on that site...it is wide open to abuse by buyers , ... would be better if all small sellers just left....en mass ............papa.

My sentiments exactly. These buyers might only scam you for a tenner, but they might scam a thousand people for that amount. Every time they get away with it more people are encouraged to do the same.

And eBay are as bad. By allowing this to happen they are tainting their own reputation. Though we all know that in their case customer service only applies to buyers anyway.

" Wonderful transaction, buyer gets full refund and gets to keep item!Only on ebay!"

It is because of the reasons mentioned above that I thought it time to leave e.bay.

Well, from a seller point of view at least..... Still have my e.bay account but use it only for buying items.
