What am I doing wrong?

Looking for a particular Volvo car, but all I get up are car accessories, even though I have clicked on 'Cars and Accessories'. Tried a couple of other car makes and still no cars.

Help please.

You aren't doing anything wrong; there simply aren't many cars listed on here.

This is an area that i think ebid could do well with.

Here in NZ cars are a huge part of our Trademe sites business.
They charge a flat fee to list a car until it sells.

If ebid zoomed in on cars and got lots of listings and sales it would encourage those buyers and sellers to use ebid forr other things.

Refresh the listing every week would be ideal.

Not quite sure what you mean by 'flat rate' but...

You can list a car (or anything) for 1.00 GBP using a Featured listing. That type of listing has no Final Value Fee on sale. That means that regardless of the sale price all you will pay is that 1.00 GBP.

I am also amazed by the lack of what I call house hold clutter.

Eg I am think about getting an electric piano or keyboard.

There are only one or 2 on ebid.

Yet there are hundreds on our Trademe site here in NZ. (with only 4 million people)

So where do people in the UK sell this sort of stuff ?

I can't fathom buying a used car from an online site. When I get one, I take it for a test drive, then to my mechanic for a complete checkup. How is delivery handled? And what if there's something seriously wrong with it?

Used cars is an area I would be a bit hesitant to buy online. There are public auctions available where you can see the car, test drive it, and either take it to a mechanic or bring one with you to the sale. Alot of people do buy used cars online though, so it is being done.

Cars are a huge part of Trademe's sales here in NZ.
You just put up a listing for a flat fee and it stays there until it is sold.
The buyers contact you and then you arrange them to see the car and buy it etc.
