Micro payments are best if your items are below about £8.50 higher than that normal payments are best.

It is possible to set up 2 accounts with paypal, one for each type, you can then specify on your invoice which account it goes to.

i.e sell 1 item at £5.00 best going to micro payment account
sell 2 items at £5.00 best going to standard account.

This assumes that the buyer waits for an invoice. so always use the best account on your listings, you can change it on the invoice if you need to.

instead of paying 30p per transaction on PayPal you'd only pay 5p Per Transaction on PayPal

When I signed up for micropayments the fees were, and I am not aware of any changes

    Micropayments 5% + 5p per transaction
    Standard 3.4% + 20p per transaction

so selling something for £5.00 would result as
    Micropayment 5% of £5 = .25p + 5p = 30p
    Standard 3.4% of £5 = .17p + 20p = 37p

From memory the actual changeover point is £8.50 I think
