Here, here! Al's a listing again. Get those bidding fingers ready, we need some stats in here.
Easy there, I have listed here exclusively for quite some time.
Can't afford to buy/repair/list more until a few sell and don't take the time to promote as I should but retirement is coming so I look forward to concentrating on taking advantage of this site when I can.

Read it wrong; thought you were saying for 5 days. Sorry. Have not had my evening cofee yet.

    Well…for 6th day we have

    October:
    UK Sellers = 7
    USA Sellers = 0
Rest of the world Sellers = 0

Combined all items sold from these 7 sellers = 35 items….
Combined total listing items from these 7 Sellers = 62,577

    62,577/35 gives us for now: about 0, 005, 3 % total all combined sales….

Total worth of sales 273.95 GBP, Rest of ‘’unknown’’…

Total worth of sales PROFIT ‘’unknown’’….

Thant’s all for now….I hope it will be more sellers who report sales In this thread…
See you are doing cummulative totals on reported information. The most concrete portions of the self-reported information seems to be:

    * Number of sellers reporting sales

    * Sellers location

    * Number of items reported sold

    * Total combined number of listings of reporting sellers

    * Percentage sell through rate of reporting seller's total listings

The rest of the reported information are estimations or unknowns; such as total worth of sales, and profit levels. I am particularly interested in the location of the seller, and the percentage sell through rate of total listings. Currently the sell through rate seems to be 2-3%.

Would love to see this percentage rate continue to climb. However, this needs to be balanced out by number of listings for a particular seller. I used to routinely look at my sell through rate in another venue. It was always at least 80% or higher, but I only listed 10-20 items at a time. High fees diminished any true benefit to the high sell through rate though.

Sales here are slower understandably, but the fee structure makes it more bearable. I have 276 listings here now, so 8 sales would be about 3%. I would be more than happy to sell 2-3% of my listings daily on eBid. Particularly if the higher priced items were sold.

    1. 35 is NOT 3% of 62,577
    2. Do you know that 62,577 is the total number of listings for those sellers on the days they actually made the sales?
    3. You can prove anything you want with statistics. Did you know that dill pickles kill? 95% of the people currently "living" in cemeteries have eaten dill pickles. Therefore dill pickles kill!

    LOL

Well I admit I did not do the math on the numbers. As I was saying I have not had my evening coffee yet, and it is getting late so I might not get it. I guess Dzambo will need to explain how he arrived at his numbers.

    Let me try something....still without me coffee....35/62,577 = 0.0005593 = 0.001 = 0.1% (1/10th of 1%) - Can I please have some coffee?

Not that it matters but Dzambo posted. .0053% not 3%. The commas probably confuses things.

Dzambo did the math, posted with commas, but probably just wrote numbers down different than the math he did. So I'm still not sure what the 3% is, so Dzambo can explain his numbers best.

Look closely. He didn't write 3%.

Yes, my first few sips of coffee help me to see that a little clearer.

Yeh, close enough for me. Now I can move on to my goal of at least 1-3% sell through rate of my total number of listings/total listings value, daily on eBid, within the next 6 months. That is a very reasonable and measureable goal.

P.S. Ok, it has been added on as my official goal in post #1.
