AN ASTEROID 50 times more powerful than the biggest nuclear bomb could wipe out the entire population of earth in 2032

Ukrainian astronomers have discovered a 1,345-foot (410m) rock which has the potential to destroy Earth in just NINETEEN years time, on 26 August 2032.

Don Yeoman, of NASA said: "The current probability of no impact in 2032 [is] about 99.998 per cent."

"This is a relatively new discovery.
"With more observations, I fully expect we will be able to significantly reduce, or rule out entirely, any impact probability for the foreseeable future."

I know that eventually one of these doomsday predictions will actually prove to be true but we've heard this so many times before. Remember the Millenium Bug that was going to cause widespread shutdown of the world's computerised systems. and the many, many various ancient religions 'End of the World' predictions. there was also a massive fear that when scientists first split the atom that a chain effect could occur causing everything to basically explode.
On an very self-centered observation, I was born in 1960 so by the time the asteroid 'hits' I either won't be around or unlikely to be in a rush to get away from it.
