As some of you (not all) know, my theatre group spent most of the summer working on a new non-musical theatre production of Les Miserables, based directly off Victor Hugo's unabridged book. We performed in September, then a chap from London came down to see it, was totally blown away by the production, and paid the theatre hire for us to go into a big professional theatre for one night only, so we could reach bigger audiences and be filmed for future promotion, funding, and networking in London etc.
That show was last night, the theatre was packed with at one point huge queues outside, a fantastic show (audience feedback coming in is brilliant), our best show and hugest audience ever.
And extra props and costumes and bits were paid for from recent ebid sales - so, thanks in part to Ebid as well.

(thats me in the long skirt just to the right of Enjolras, half hidden by the flag, lol, the pic was taken just about as we were about to break from the curtain call. )
