Well I can say I'm impressed! Not one angry troll has surfaced not even a rant! I'm still finding my way around but I've done my first purchase on here. Have an email negotiation with a seller going and a deal agreed. Next stop payment and organizing delivery. That done, I think I'll give it a go. One last item i need to look up and that's protection for buyers and sellers. I'm sure there will be a page with all that on.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to my post. I appreciate it and it has persuaded me to join as a seller+.

PS.. My Head Hurts! It's just too much to take in at once. Leaping from page to page trying to find info and not lose what I already found and want to read. There, a real and genuine negative, (a headache). I knew there was one out there! I'm struggling to find buyer/seller protection and disputes, anyone like to point me in the right direction? Please.

Something I remarked on a few weeks ago, was how nice this place is. In that other place, going in to a forum is like entering a lions den. Something upsetting happened to someone here and there was not one nasty remark from anyone, everyone gave their support and helpful comments.

I don't know of anything like that............formally. This is a venue for buyers and sellers. It's up to sellers to give good service, and up to buyers to honor their contracts. I believe if there are issues, it's up to the buyers and sellers to work it out, if necessary, involving the payment services used. EBid is good about getting rid of scam sellers and buyers when they come to light.

I joined for the long term and was prepared to adapt to selling on this different platform. (adaptation is key - making eBid work for you & not assuming that the same selling techniques will work here as over there). It took a little while for sales to start but once they did I soon made my money back.

For me, varied items & opening Stores was the key.

It should read within a 24hr period not after 24hrs of signing up.

Buyers have protection when they pay through PayPal. Sellers have protection if they have a non paying bidder ie claim back FVF, block any member they like. Just like any other site.
