having trouble listing

Hi I have just tried listing my first auction but on getting to the box marked starting bid it wont allow me to enter an amount and will only let me use the buy it now box I have the seller + option. Not the best of starts after years on E bay hope someone can help

Where the BuyNow Price field is there is a Fixed Price check box. Make sure this is unchecked. This will allow you to enter a price in the auction field.

It wont let me uncheck this box either

did you finally get in? I too am trying for the first time and having issues...I think I have everything listed but when I hit preview auction, nothing happens....
any advice you can give????
