Photographs (pictures) and folders

I had a brief look to try not to duplicate a thread and found one but it was closed ..

Ok we have worked out that photographs can be put into different folders :-)
- not sure if ones put in general can be moved though?? or if a pic is misplaced to move it...

HOWEVER when listing and trying to use a picture that is in a folder and searching JUST for that folder to find that one photograph rather than the 100's or 1000's ... NO IDEA how to bring that folder only up.

Have tried many ways but it does seem to have a mind of its own and random as to what comes up. As can be imagined a lot of wasted time trying to go though 100's or 1000's ... of pictures to find the right one.

For us it is using the sell an item or similar as we have NO idea of the Ninja?? system - just for information.

If there is a trick to the folders (which are a GREAT idea) please share

First thing to know is that you cannot create an empty folder. You can only create a folder at the time of uploading an image to it.

Second thing to know is that if a folder becomes empty that folder will be deleted.

To display a specific folder, select it from the dropdown and click the Filter button.

Yes all new piccies have gone in a new or existing folder :-)
- so anything in general cant be moved

However when we use that filter to sort (and using words) the wrong ones come up first ... we have tried low-> high and high -> low no luck :-(

Yes you can move items from general to another folder, the problem is if you need a folder that is not there.

So the trick is to upload a photo, select a photo to upload, create a folder to upload into then upload the photo.

Move the photo's into the new folder, you can the delete the original photo if you want.

And remember as Astral said above if a folder becomes empty it will be deleted, except the general one.

The main problem at the moment is for example

folder books - upload piccies
folder coins - upload piccies
folder bbq - upload piccies...

We then want to pick a picky from the folder books a few days later and 200 uploaded into the other folders since then...

When we try to bring up the piccies in the books folder we mainly get the most recent at the time and for example if we wanted the coins ones... again they would not come up to the top (should the others disappear as they do not)...

Is that as clear as mud? :-S

Ok if I am understanding you correctly in my Gallery also when adding pic to listing yo see this



1 Select folder from drop down box
2 Click filter

You can then sort that folder if required

Yes it should as long as you press filter, it works on my folders

Have you tried a different browser I use Firefox, did hear recently that older versions of chrome were playing up.
