Sealing the Generation Gaps

The idea of separating generations is interesting. Like most things, there are a lot of variables, which means nothing is totally exact in sweeping generalizations.

My two kids are of one generation, yet their children will probably be of two different generations. A generation within a family is more variable than the formalized ones, I'd say.

Yes, I agree. The more I look at this the more variability I can see. Certainly falling on the cusp of the low/high date ranges would cause variability.

I am becoming more interested in the two youngest generations, Gen Y (Millennials), and Gen Z (Digital Generation). I see more variability in describing these two generations; and various authors actually blend Gen Z into Gen Y. For them Gen Y is not even mentioned.

I find these two generations fascinating also, because they are so different from me (my generation).
