    I guess I just didn't think it was possible for a new member to register, purchase and pay with seemingly the same functionality and speed (or at least within that range) as on a normal PC.

    What I am used to seeing with iPad visits is either a disappearing act or constant visits to the same page until eventually they get hold of a PC at work to be able to purchase.

    I can access a lot of ebid (certainly enough to purchase) on my Iphone, via the internet browser safari. It isnt userfriendly as you can only see some things and the "mobile" version of the site is annoying, BUT it is perfectly possible to access ebid and buy something.

    My Nook HD has windows with chrome brouser, it works as a computer for me. I won't be replacing my Laptop, as the Nook does all i want on the web

    Yes the Nook HD is a nice pad. The newer OS system on these newer pads make it easier to surf sites that don't have a mobile app capabilities.
