A friend has recently sold a greenhouse on the other side, a 10x6 ft including staging and two water butts. The buyer asked if he could pick it up on his Mondeo.

You just couldn't make it up!

oh dear! im glad its not just me that gets them questions! you will laugh later

i've had one before on other site asking if item was for sale!?!

i have noticed it has got worse since ipad/blackberry generation popped up, i myself prefer to buy and sell using laptop, i have phone but only answer questions if i am away and cant get to laptop and they are urgent like dispute or akward buyer.

its hard to tell sometimes if person is genuine, i buy patterns because i like them and hope to make it one day

i am surprised how many people do try it on, i have small craft shop and we had one customer that came in bought 3 patterns, then half hour later came back in and said that she had them all already can she get refund. being sucker that i am, trusted her and let her exchange for 3 new ones as she decided she wanted more instead.

next day, my mum was on covering me, and she came in, told her story about buying patterns and they were duplicates. my mum fell for it, and actually gave her money refund.

when we were talking later on, she mentioned it to me and i told her what she did previous day, we were soo annoyed!

later that week as i was going to library to use internet, girl told me that someone was copying lots patterns and bragging that she would get money back from shop round the corner if she told us that she made a mistake.

unfortunately we lost that shop, and she is now banned from new shop.

sorry i do ramble when i get going!

I think you may have a point there.

As for photocopying patterns, this is why I don't accept returns on my listings.

But, don't get me started on photocopied patterns for sale....grrrrrr

I must be one of the stupid buyers. I bought what i thought was a proper pattern on the other side and when it arrived it was a single page ripped roughly from a magazine. The photo and the description didnt give any indication of this. I paid 2.75 plus postage but put it down to my own stupidity

No, you are only stupid if you expect something different from the described item. Otherwise you are the victim of a bad seller.
