Default Help!! my listings are breeding.

I've just discovered that many of my listings are duplicated.
I don't know why, but suspect it has something to do with re-posting.

I've had a couple of items recently which showed as unsold when they were sold - so there's a glitch somewhere.

Can anybody tell me of a quick way to check all my listings for duplicates?

I've tried searches of the titles I have listed, and sometimes that throws up duplicates which I delete. However, sometimes it doesn't bring up a single listing, when I can see one in front of me, so it is not working right.

You can't search on item numbers - I've tried that.

    Any ideas?
I might ring support, if I could find the number.

The quickest way I find to check is to go into your stores and check section by section. You haven't got too many listings so it shouldn't take long.

There isn't a phone number for support you need to email
support@ebid.net , I would do this first before removing the duplicates so they can see the problem.

You're not alone on this one. I've had several of my listings double-up, and also I've LOST several along the way. It always seems to occur when I "delete/relist" on the closed no sales page. Hmmmmm.

I've had a similar thing happen (which I reported to support).

I had done a bulk edit on just a few items to move them from one store to another. But the bulk edit left them in both stores (double listing them in different stores). Checked again that the bulk edit had in fact got the items in the correct store before closing the ones in the wrong store. I then deleted those closed items but it also deleted them from the store, very strange.

I often get the same problem.
The easiest way I have found to check is to go to my listings.
Click on the Sort button drop down menu.
Click on the Title low to high then they should come together if theres any duplicates.

A right Booger if you have changed any titles in the meantime while the glitch was going on.

I have noticed that my listing count is going down when in fact it should be going up.
Wondered if ebid gets rid of some after they have been on a while?
As I do not save them on file they have gone forever.

I have noticed when I move items from one store or category to another, the listings stay up in both places for a while. The original listings did disappear eventually; sometimes it took several hours. The eBid ID numbers were the same, so I knew they were NOT duplicates. Check the ID numbers before doing anything else.

    Thanks, TK, that worked well.
I even found some that I had already deleted

I suspect the trouble is opening expired listings - you only get to chose "Listings I ran without sales", and you assume it would not duplicate those already on that list. But it does.

So how to differentiate those that have just expred, that you want to renew, from those that have already been renewed but remain as "Listing I ran without sales"? That is the question.
