I agree with you 100% on this one.
The businesses that use Zero Hours Contracts should be the ones that are penalised,
As the system works currently they have an unfair advantage over business that offer employment by honest and fair means.
By that I mean contracts that state the hours to be worked per week.
This country has gone to the dogs.
"Universal credit payments will adjust automatically depending on the hours a person works to ensure that people whose hours may change are financially supported and do not face the hassle and bureaucracy of switching their benefit claims."
We the tax payer are therefore encourageing and supporting these parasitic businesses.
