Here in Somerset through the window looks good but going out there is a nasty chillie wind, they keep saying it will get better, & warmer soon.

Sunny here but a cold easterly wind straight off the North Sea. The garden could do with a good spell of rain but there's no sign in the forecast.

There is a chance of THUNDER for central, southern and south-western areas of the UK today. Clouds are building as far north and Manchester but the sun is still trying to keep on shining. The values needed for any serious thundery action are not present in large quantity but CAPE will be best on Thursday, especially down south. In fact, according to models such as Arpege, the CAPE will be the about highest of the year so far in the UK, which together with wind shear, temps in the mid 20s and cold air aloft, should generate some worthwhile storms with the chance of hail and localised damaging winds and flooding

Bl--dy awful thanks to Storm Hannah - rain lashing down all night + gale force winds.

The garden table is still in place as is the small shed thank goodness.

Don't think I'll be going too far today!

Lovely sunny calm day today but Gosport in Hampshire, where my sister, my children and my mum still live, has taken a bit of a battering overnight
