    Default Best size for pictures?

I've looked in the FAQs, but can't find the answer:
What is the optimum size for photographs in listings?

On TOS, I got used to 1600 pxls for the larger measurement, and have continued to do that. But I don't know if that is the best size.

The reason I ask is that I've been using eBid for about 6 months now, and keep finding better ways to do things, by accident. There is a lot more to the site than meets the eye, and that you can find easily.

I now realise that I could have saved myself a lot of work over the months, if I'd known all the tweaks and wrinkles. I should always have been using default templates and shipping codes, and now have a mammoth task to put that right.

As has been said before, it would be nice to know this stuff when you start - an instruction manual.

700 pixels along the longest side (ideally 700 pixels square) which is the largest eBid displays. Anything over that will be shrunk to fit.

Didn't know that eBid required an optimum size. I just point the camera and shoot Couldn't tell you the pixel size.
